Why attempt to “score on defense” in the tech sector?

Why are we attempting to score on defense in the Tech sector?  Nothing more than following what the "Power of the Pattern" is suggesting in the charts below...

Game plan....Currently have an overweight position in PSQ, attempting to score on defense in the Tech sector.  Not the best looking charts above if you are long Tech/Semiconductor, yet favorable patterns if attempting to score on defense.
